If the last shade was a few shades deeper, it would have made the quad more versatile and more likely to work across skin tones. The frostiness of the first shade didn't jive as well with the mattes, and it all ended up looking dusty on my lid. Debating whether to buy this or the Pillow Talk quad, as this palette is quite the investment.
The eyeshadow had nearly opaque color payoff that was buildable with a second layer. The texture was soft, somewhat powdery, and it sheered out a little when applied and blended out on my skin. It stayed on well for seven and a half hours before fading noticeably.
